WHEAT RIDGE (KDVR) -- Family, friends and even strangers left flowers, cards and candles outside a shop on West 28th Avenue for Peter Arguello, the man whose family said he was killed Wednesday at his Jewelry store in Wheat Ridge. “My brother was a good man; he was an icon in this neighborhood," said Phillip Arguello, Peter’s youngest brother. DENVER (KDVR) -- Colorado received $9.3 million in the 2023 fiscal year for wildfire resilience work and fuel management projects, the U.S. Department of the Interior announced Thursday.The funds are part of a $468 million allocation for wildfire risk reduction, impact mitigation and burn area rehabilitation across the country.
